Ticket payment automated for low-cost carriers

Bremen-based IT company Partners Software has developed a payment engine for paying low-cost flights. In addition to credit cards, the system also processes debit cards, invoices and direct-bank debits as well as agency debiting. The new system’s highlight: As many credit cards may be preset for booking flights and services as you wish. Partners manages these credit-card pools for both travel agencies and tour operators using these.

 

Partners Software has developed its payment engine for all LOW.FARE system users, who either purchase low-cost flights themselves or on behalf of their clients, thus cannot use the traveler’s credit card for payment. This new solution provides for paying low-cost carriers and other flight providers (LOW.FARE offers over 100 airlines) via credit cards. Individually for each airline, both tour operators and travel agencies may preset one or as many as desired of their own credit cards for flight bookings. Partners manages these credit card pools. All cards are used carefully, so that no card is debited above its preset credit limit.

 

As clients, Partners has primarily tour operators and tour-operating travel agencies in mind. These combine multiple services within a package and send the client a total invoice. Thus, either travel agencies or tour operators use their own credit cards for low-cost flights.The great advantage lies in automating business processes. Partners’ system does not request the traveler’s credit card for a booking, rather accesses the preset travel agency’s card and uses this for the booking. The card’s number used within this framework remains invisible for the software’s user. And of course, Partners’ system offers a sales report, which can be both exported and imported into the accounting system for controlling.
